The Institute of Business Administration, can trace its membership history back to 1946.

The IBA a membership body with members throughout the world in countries including the UK, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, China, Barbados, USA, Canada, Australia, Africa and Europe.
 

It is sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (www.ICSA.org.uk), (ICSA) and does not receive direct funding from any government or other public body.

As well as being authorised by the IBA to use post nominal letters associated with IBA membership grades, members also receive a Business Journal (IBA News), with up-to-date business news, information and issues from across the globe.

There are four grades of membership - two qualifying grades and two professional grades which are granted according to applicants qualifications.

For graduates who have completed a Bachelors or Masters programme in Business Studies/Administration are eligible for Professional Membership based upon managerial related work experience.

The Qualifying grades are : Licentiate (LInstBA) and Associate (AInstBA)

The Professional grades are : Member (MInstBA) and Fellow (FInstBA)

IBA Qualifying Examinations
 
There are total 14 modules of IBA Qualifying Examinations (IBAM). Following are the Professional Grades, which will be awarded to candidates subject to completion of modules:
 
Associate IBA (AIBA)
 
On the completion of any five modules out of fourteen. Candidates will also be awarded Diploma in Business Administration by IBAM-UK, which is equivalent to the First Year of British Honors Degree.
 
Member IBA
 
On the completion of further four modules after IBAM DBA, candidates will be entitled for MIBA grade PLUS Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, which is equivalent to the Second Year of British Honors Degree.
 
MBA Executive
 
On the completion of all 14 modules of IBA Qualifying Examinations (IBAM) alongwith two years of related working experiance, candidates will be awarded MBA Executive duly Endorsed by IBAM-UK.
 
Acceptability of IBA Qualifying Examinations at Universities
 
A number of Universities also now recognise IBAM Diploma & Advanced Diploma qualifications for entry at an advanced level Bachelor Programmes and for some students for entry onto Masters Programmes for example:

IBA Qualifying Examinations - Policies & Procedures

FTCollege is an Authorised Education & Examination Centre in Pakistan.

Examinations shall be conducted Four Times in a Year, March - June - September - December.

The duration of each module examination will be Two Hours. The candidates will also be required to submit an Assignment/Course Work to get clearence in the particular module.

Tha passing marks for both are 50%, to be cleared separately.

The Registrations should be processed atleast before Two Months of the Target Examinations, whereas the Examination Entry should be processed atleast before 45 days of the target examinations.
