What is the ACCA? (www.accaglobal.com)

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is the largest global professional accountancy body with over 250,000 members and students worldwide. ACCA has been recognised by the United Nations as providing the basis for a global accountancy qualification.

Founded in London in 1904, the ACCA qualification combines the benefits of traditional accounting skills with a forward looking syllabus which recognises that finance professionals are increasingly required to demonstrate strategic thinking, excellent communications and fluency with information technology.

About the Course

FTOnline has made arrangements to offer this distance learning course to ensure that your professional career objective. At completion, you will be equipped with knowledge and skills in accountancy, taxation, auditing, management and computing which will enable you to work in any area of finance.

You will be joining a community of learners that is increasing rapidly. FTOnline has a growing number of students who have undertaken to study for ACCA qualification through our unique distance-learning programme. The characteristic common to all of these learners is that they have busy schedules and have chosen a distance-learning route so that they can control their own learning.

Entry Requirements

In order to gain entry to the course it is necessary for you to satisfy the minimum entry requirements which can take a variety of forms. If you are a mature student aged 21 years or over you can take advantage of the Mature Student Entry Route.

Which study method should I choose?

Open learning is the most sophisticated learning method available today. Open learning allows different people to learn at different speeds and recognises that busy lives mean that there are times and places more convenient to the learner than a time and place dictated by classroom based learning.

Open learning is quite literally a fast-track study alternative for students who are able to study using the latest technology such as interactive study materials, practice and revision kits, computer based training packages, internet, videos, audio cassettes and, of course traditional textbooks!

Students do not need access to a computer either at work or at home to undertake this course.

Tutor Support

Our tutors are chosen for their subject expertise and their broad expertise in training Accountants. Most important of all though, is that our tutors will help to ensure that every minute of training time is used as effectively as possible and that problems can be identified early and corrected. FTOnline tutors know how to encourage and inspire students, and offer solutions to their problems.

Our tutor support is especially designed to give specific study guidance and highlight areas of particular importance and difficulty.
